I would personally use a .56 grain round for hogs cause there a little more powerful than the .55 but the .55 is perfect for deer and or hogs whichever...

I use a #4 shot for my 12 gauge it seems not to tear the rabbit up as much as a 7 1/2, 6, or an #8 shot
