    F&S website had an mushroom expert user named Neil from the northwestern part of the country.

    I know just enough to be dangerous. If you can't identify it with 100% certainty, don't eat it.

      That is not a mushroom, it is a fungus. We write messages on them when split up = which way we went, etc.

        It Has a stem and it sure looks like a mushroom? It is also soft like a mushroom.

              sorry, at first glance it looked like it is growing on a tree trunk - it is a mushroom.
