    Lucky he didn't get shot by the Maine home owner :-)

      Maybe they were hungry chasing after prey? Bears have poor eyesight and that guy runs like a deer? :-)

        Welp, treeline, we better stay away from Alaska and their polar bears if that's how it works. Gary, I think the bear would've preferred a slow moving mcdonald's fed person if he wanted to catch a human for prey.

          I think all the bear manuals say "do not run away." The bears wouldn't know or care why someone was running, only the fact that he was.

            Sounds like he was lucky there was a house close at hand, or he'd have become ursine fast food.

              All he had to do was run 31mph and outrun the bears.
