In the Midwest over the last several decades we have seen a shift from organic venison to not organic venison, mainly because of monoculture tactics. The chicken (organic) I buy at the grocery store is a more pure meat than what I harvest in the wild. Does this matter at all?

Can you explain this a little more? To be honest I have never heard about this.

Probably not. Wild game is still way more healthy than non-organic farm-raised meat. I've always thought certified organic is overkill in many cases, but that's just my personal opinion.

I would need more information as well to determine where you are coming up with this. The monocultured in agricultural practices wouldn't necessarily mean venison is not organic.
