How do you get crawlers to come out of the ground using a battery and jumper cables I forgot how?

I think you get 2 copper rods, place them in the ground about 3 feet apart and hook to a car battery using jumper cables. This is suppose to bring up the worms. I hope it works.

Lucas hit it on the nose, excpet you can use re-bar rods instead of copper.

Oh God.....this brings back memories! I tried doing this when I was about 10 years old and blew out every fuse in the house fuse box. It blew me about 10 feet across the yard. I had cut the electrical cord from my mothers old lamp and connected the wires to a metal rod I took off the bbq. Needless to say, there is a wrong and a right way to do this. I most certainly didn't do it the right way! I buy my worms now!!!

Your right Bull Elk, great memories, My Dad set me up when I was a kid with a a tire iron he had electrical taped with the positive side wire (only) from an old extension cord. The neutral side (and grounding side) go the earth by design off your main panel. I would wet the ground with a hose, and push the tire iron in the center, get back near the barn and plug it in. Bam, about 10- 15 min's later you unplug!, and had all the worms you could gather. Hindsight the battery way may be better, because 110v will get your attention if ur not safe!
