    When you see a buck rub, does the size of the tree tell you the size of the buck? I've seen everything from a twig rubbed up to trees 12 inch in diamater.

    generally speaking, larger bucks rub larger trees, but this isnt 100% always true.

      Usually big bucks rub bigger trees but when u see a rub look at how deep the gashes in the tree are. Usually bigger bucks have deeper gashes. Also look for any close saplings or dirt around the tree. Big bucks tend to wrap their antlers around trees and destroy saplings and rake up the dirt behind the primary rub with their antlers.

        i have seen big 10 points rub in little saplings but usually the bigger the tree the bigger the deer.
