I am looking to put in about a half acre food plot on my property. It is a marsh next to a lake that transitions into your standard Washington pine forest. The best plant to put on the transition? again location is in Eastern Washington.

Visit an farm store or country supply outlet in your area most carry seed mixtures for food plots-or they will be able to formulate a mixture for you based on soil type(so be sure to take a soil sample in to them). This will ensure that you match your seed varieties to your specific location and they will have the know how to suggest mixtures based not only on soil type but climate as well.I think there are many commercial products available --just make sure before spending any money they will perform for at your chosen site.
