I am going hunting for whitetails in Ohio in about a month. I want to practice good scent control by putting my clothing in a trash bag of leaves after a no scent wash. But I live in California, will the scents here spook the deer? Thanks

It probably depends on what kind of leaves you used. A strong foreign scent might alert the deer (but not as much as a strong human scent). If you used some dry broadleaf with a mild scent, you're probably OK. If it were me, I'd air out your clothes a little before the hunt and not worry about it after that. Have a fun and safe hunt.

Get those leaves out of there.I have made that mistake and blew a few hunts. I allways use the leaves and fresh dirt from the area that I hunt.I allways gather fresh laeves and dirt then I roll and rub them all over my camo befor I get close to my stand then do it agin befor I enter the stand.I live down south and have learned how to beat several 4 to 6 year old bucks noses.

I use scent wafers that you can but from cabela's they come in different scents (dirt, acorn, pine) they are much stronger and seem to work great.

I use Primos Silver XP earth scent spray. And to tell you the truth I love it. Last year sitting in a ground blind I had a buck almost walk into me. But everybody has there own thing I guess.
