Get your high fence inclosure up first, go as big as you can afford. Does and bucks can be ordered online as well as does carring young. buying deer can get expensive and you get what you pay for. Here's a link of one site that sells deer.

Be careful about the health of the deer you get. I live in New York State(Central) and a local deer farm had a deer they had gotten out of state and it had Chronic Wasting Disease. This deer with CWD ended in the wild some how. The DEC killed off quite a few deer locally to see if the CWD had spread to the native deer. None was found with CWD, but our area is under containment now. There would be no CWD in the Northeast if it wasn't for this local deer farmer getting a deer out of state with CWD. Needless to say there is a lot of hunters who are not happy with this. Due to one imported, infected deer with CWD, the Northeast's deer population could be affected with CWD.

With CWD spreading now is not a good time to start a deer farm. You will most likely lose a lot of cash. There is talk in WI about holding deer farms accountable for the CWD in the wild population. WIDNR has quarantined most captive deer in the state and ban any more from being imported.
Besides why domesticate such a wild and noble animal. They desire better than being reduced to the level of a cow.
