The bow season starts tomorrow here in MD, and they're calling for rain most of the week. So it got me thinking, is there any particular care that should be taken with a compound bow (an older one, if that matters in what materials were used) and standard components during or after a day in the rain to ensure performance?

I'm new to archery but was told to avoid exposing the cams to extremely wet weather due to corrosion.

Scorpion Venom makes a cam and serving lubricant that may protect your cams from the elements. I've never used it but am lookin into getting it for my bow.

Hope this helps. Bass Pro sells it, I'm sure Gander sells it too.
