What is your opening day ritual? Me and my hunting buddies get together and fix a huge breakfast and discuss the day.

In the woods before dawn,and sit all day.I usually do this for the first week.

We always pile in the truck before dawn with a complete buffet of snacks (jerky, doughnuts, sandwiches, pop, water, etc.) and get to our spot. Then we plow down the food as we talk about how we want to set up in our chosen area. I like the idea of fixing a huge breakfast and eating it before leaving though.. Might be a bit less troublesome. Ha. Plus then we could have omelets. I'm getting excited just talking about it!

Get up early brew the coffee fix a nice breakfast. Talk about where we are going hunt for the morning, then we head out and warm up the truck and head to our spot just before sun-up.

The night before I tiedown and tape any loose straps and anything that might rattle. I make sure the knives are sharp and guns get a light coat of oil dependin on the weather. I usally don't eat prior to goin out in the woods.
