  • The college student puzzle..

A student rides his scooter to the train station to go to college. His home in between two train stations.
The first station is a mile from home, and the second one is two miles from home in the opposite direction.
In the morning, he rides to the first station a mile from home, but in the afternoon, he always gets off the train at the second station.
    Why?

  • #2
His school is actually back the other way past the second station.
At night when he comes home the second station from school is actually the first station, where his scooter is.

dewman - No, nothing tricky about this puzzle. It's plain vanilla.
And he takes his scooter with him.

And the answer is...(drum roll)...The terrain in the area is sloped, with the first train station at the low point and the second station at the high point.
On his trips to and from the train stations, the student is always traveling downhill.
