    I'd say some kind of scent canister/bomb, that was hung using rubber gloves.
    Don't know about the "exact" spot though.

      Deer are never going to do exactly what you want. Your best bet would be to try to use a scent, maybe hunt over a mock scrape, have more than one shooting lane and when in your shooting lane, grunt with your mouth.

        i just luv it when i'm told never.yes there is a way,and while not exactly 1oo per cent it's preety close to it .

          Well then please enlighten us with your way to almost 100 % of the time to get a deer to stop in the exact spot.

          I still stand by what I said, deer will nver do exactly what you want.

            i agree with mb915, make a noise with your mouth to stop him from traveling past your shooting lane. But be ready to shoot as soon as he stops or he could spook.

              6P, I've used the tarsal gland cut from a deer to have a hard stopping point for deer. Wearing rubber gloves, I cut the glands off a buck and put them in a zip-lock bag, then in the freezer. On the day of the hunt, I place one 20 yards from my tree stand, still not touching it with my hands. It works! The deer can't resist walking up to it and sniffing.
