The one that goes along with that Red is, “Never bring a knife to a gun fight”.

Westerns are by far my favorite movies, it is a shame that none are being made at this time. Maybe it goes to the anti-gun feelings in our society at this time, or maybe a generation gap issue with a much younger society that appears to be more interested in high tech movies which are computer originated. Who knows, I just know I miss a good authentic Western !!!!
Matt, it would be a waste of time to make a new Western anyway. It would be so politically correct that it would lose all significance and they probably would not even allow guns to be used ! And PETA would be pissing and moaning about people ridding horses, that is pure abuse !

Matt, you need the last part.

Will Munny: "Well, he should have armed himself if he's going to decorate his saloon with my friend."

    I agree with PMACC60

I retract my recommendation of Yellowstone. I had it recorded and gave it a try last night: Ugh. Should have known.

Now that I read this post, I can't believe none of us had any lines from that movie the first time around.

I agree 6p. I have Dish TV which carries Encore Westerns, a channel that has 24 hrs. Of Westerns, but many are reruns which are shown over and over. There is nothing new and many are in black and white. Some of the old John Wayne movies are pretty bad, not only in regards to acting, but also concerning content ! They used to carry Gun Smoke, and some of those episodes I watched many times and still enjoyed them. That has since been replaced with Tales of Wells Fargo which is okay, but again is reruns.

Matt, I will go back a little bit as to what I said about semi-westerns, as I did like the movie No Country For Old Men and I think that was about the time of the last semi-western. But even that movie would be a stretch to be called a semi Western in my book !
