Over the years, I have amassed many of those trigger locks that are in the box when buying a new gun. I keep my guns in safes so I don't use the trigger locks as intended. I have a shelf with a large number of these locks. Yesterday, I thought of other uses. Locking a tree stand cable, lock on my trailer hitch, lock my truck box, were some my ideas for uses. I don't think I will need to buy a lock for anything in the future. What ideas do you have?

What do you do with all those trigger locks?

None!
I despise the things and I have a butt load of them myself.
When I attended gun shows, I'd put them out on the table in a basket: "Your choice! $5".
Sold a bunch.
Still have a bunch.
Picked up a handgun at a pawnshop. The owner wanted me to purchase a lock and wouldn't allow me to leave unless the gun was "locked"!
I grabbed a standard "Master" pad lock out of my truck, opened the cylinder and snapped the lock shut around the top strap. You can't close the cylinder. Mission accomplished!
On a S&W revolver, you can also put a standard Master lock on the trigger guard "behind" the trigger.
The gun can't be cocked or fired double action.
Welcome!
