The coastal deer is found in the Florida panhandle, AL, LA, MS. Seminoles are found in the Everglades, central and southern pine and citrus plantations. If I remember correctly the peak rut for coastal deer is February and August for Seminoles. The Key Deer is a small deer found in FL Keyes, protected, does not have a hunting season.

Dang it's quiet around here. Maybe this will help. Seminoles deer are best hunted with hounds. The swamps in Florida are thick water logged foreboding areas full of all kinds of reptiles including snakes that fall from trees. Deer hounds are an excellent way to get these deer moving. Making for an extremely exciting hunt.
