Good answer DSM, but first you have to kill a buck to get the glands. You can also get some commercial scents---doe in heat is always popular---and put it on an UNSCENTED rag and drag it to near your stand and hang it on a bush within shooting range.

You can cut the tarsal glands from a buck's back legs. That's the long haired dark brown area on the inside of the hock. Tie it to a cord long enough to drag behind you and walk towards your stand. Don't drag it right to your stand though, just within range.
