Do bucks mate with more than one doe?

  • #2
yes they do. That is why so many hunters are successful during the rut (mating season). The bucks spend all that time just looking for ladies. Once he is done with one he goes to find another. His goal is to spread his genes to as many children as he can. The bigger, stronger bucks get more does than younger or weaker ones.

NC is right, a buck will mate with as many does as it can during the rut. Mating is the only thing that bucks, young and old, think about while the rut is on.

Yes they do, it's part of their basic instinct as part of their reproductive fitness.

Yes, a buck will mate with more then one doe. They do this to better their chance of spreading their genes.

If they are like me they might get one doe twice a year. Maybe every New Years and the 4th of July.
