I don't live in a state that has that law, but the answer is simple. Voters are given the opportunity to vote on this and if you live in a state that is comprised of a majority of religous people that follow the Bible then you'd understand and know that. God demanded a day of rest and that day is the seventh day (Sabbath) of the week and that day was for worship, fellowship, and rest with no variance of it. So it does have to do with religion and not just some obsolete laws. Remember in years past religion was practiced more than today and regardless of religion the Sabbath is the seventh day which just so happens to be Sunday. If you want a Tuesday ban then your going to have to convince billions of people to make the change from a Monday start to a Wednesday start. I'm Christian and I do hunt Sunday evenings. That is the answer in short.

-I do think that they should remove Sunday hunting bans(I do not live in a state with any).
-At the same time you should also be glad that it is legal to hunt on every other day...it could be much worse. There could be a ban on Sunday AND Tuesday(or any other combination of days).

I am a Pennsylvania hunter so I know how it feels not to be able to hunt on Sundays. Personally, I like having a sunday ban (has nothing to do with religion). It seems like when you do get to go hunt it makes the time all the more valuable that you are out in the woods; especially on weekends. I never hunted in a state where you can go anyday of the week (may take the appreciation out of the hunt), so with work and what not, when you do get the chance to get out there you want it to be the most priceless and memorable and I think allowing only 6 days to do so lets us fulfill that. Now if only we could get to use semi-auto rifles to hunt in PA....thats another can of worms altogether.
