My suggestion to you is first check your stand. My uncle who is teaching me everything I need to know, says your stand needs to be in a position that you can see where the deer comes into the area, but not dead on their trail. It needs to be where if the wind blows they can't scent you. Next, if you have done the above, and deer are definitely coming into your plot, my suggestion is acorns and cedar. Deer eat corn but they love acorns. its natural and they expect acorns. Deer also love cedar. I took cedar limbs and put them all around the bottom of my stand and all up in the stand with me. I took chips and kept them in my pockets. When I put my clothes up I zipped them up in a plastic bag with cedar chips. DO NOT BUY SCENT COVER, USE WHAT GOD GAVE YOU, ITS FREE!!! My buck last year walked 20 yards in front of me and never knew I was there. The night before a bigger buck walked 30 yards in front of me never knew I was there. Try this and good luck next year!!

Baiting is NOT hunting. If you can't hunt legitimately, don"t HUNT!!

corn works really well, but i dont use salt blocks, because they can make them thirsty and drink too much water, using up space so they eat less food.and the more food your deer gets the bigger it will get. i find that the deer really like the corn and heads of cabbage too.

A lot of what you do depends on what part of the country you're in. But generally, throwing out corn or putting out a salt block works pretty well (if it is legal in your state). You also might want to look into the different kinds of plants that you could put into a food plot. Once again, depending on your part of the country, you might want to try clover, chicory or winter wheat. There are quite a few others but you should probably go talk to someone at your local hunting supply store to get accurate advice for your area.
