Has anyone else with the May mag seen the Wal-Mart ad? I find the man hunting with a real nice bolt action rifle with no scope or open sights really make this ad come together. Just about all the Wal-Mart stores have stopped gun sales also. So I guess you can save money there, but "live better" I don't know.

I do not know if I have seen the exact one you are referring to, but I do remember seeing a simular add. The only Wal-Mart near where I live does not even sell live ammunition anymore. All you can buy is paintball/airsoft items.

Although it's nice to go into a Walmart at 2 a.m. and get your last minute supplies it's also kind of a win I guess for the gun shops who specialize and have passionate people employed. In a way I'm glad they have stopped selling but also kinda sad they have given into anti's so much. Little off topic sorry...

Not off the topic at all MWK, It is nice to go there for a last min. stuff. But all in all Walmart sucks and them stopping the sell of firearms is BS. They gave into the communists trying to run this country. But thats a different subject and I can go off on the countrys problems. This is why I go to local gun shops also.

Oddly enough, much of the merchandise you are purchasing on those spur of the moment visits are coming form a Communist country. Our dollars are sponsoring the emergence of an industrial juggernaut in a nation with a horrible human rights record. Considering the high percentage of items on the shelve of Walmart that are from China you would have thought Norinco (the commercial firearm division of the Red Army) would have been a major supplier. I am not a Walmart shopper, saving a buck or two at the expense of small store owners who are being crushed by the giant leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

In Indiana all the Wal-Mart in Rural areas are selling firearms again. They started selling them again three years ago. But I agree that I do most of my shopping at the smaller stores. I try to buy American all the time.
