Today while in town we saw a flintlock rifle with a scope mounted on it for sale. What do you all think about a scope being on a flintlock?

On the other hand....if your eyes are past focusing on the those open sights and not able to acquire the target some sort of optic sight is in order. If you are only half way to old age blind, sometimes a good peep sight will allow you to shoot well and not require the scope. This is a problem that I have worked through and had to scope rifles where it was a crime to move away from the open sights. Not much sense in having them if you can't shoot them well, so you do what you have to do.
