Does anyone know how to get Burrs off easy or prevent them from sticking to my new blaze jacket? My party and I were pushing bush and it had been my turn to push so I went in and for the first 20 yards there were just burs and when I walked my hunting partner said it was the most Burrs on one person he has ever seen. They covered all of my arms my back and even on the inside of my jacket and pockets!

I know our farm has them all over, and in all of my years of hunting I have never heard of any methods. Besides wearing a thin outer layer(mesh or something) that you could just take off I dont know. If there are ways I'd like to know as well =]

i have used two ways in the past...put strips of duct tape over the briars then rip them off...and a very dull knife blade to scrape them off. As for preventing them...if you find a way patent it and you will be a millionaire!!

I also use duct tape and a knife to remove them. As for preventing, go around them or tuff it out.

Wear denim or canvass cloth when hunting in burr rich environments. The few that stick will brush off easily.
