First I would like to thank you.I have been doing a personal study on majority reaction to controversial topics. And you did exactly as I thought you would.
Understand that I never meant to offend anybody, nor did I mean anybody to loose faith in in their fellow man. You've all made valid and well stated points.I always say to each his own.It took for ever to come up with the original post.Blowing it out of per portion was all in the plan.
    Thanks again.

"I know it's everywhere, but that doesn't make it right or moral."

What is immoral about wearing a bikini on a boat in the summer time to fish, and posting the pictures of yourself enjoying fishing?

From Wikipedia- Morality can also be seen as the collection of beliefs as to what constitutes a good life. Since throughout most of human history, religions have provided both visions and regulations for an ideal life, morality is often confused with religious precepts. In secular communities, lifestyle choices, which represent an individual’s conception of the good life, are often discussed in terms of "morality." ......

Individuals sometimes feel that making an appropriate lifestyle choice invokes a true morality, and that accepted codes of conduct within their chosen community are fundamentally moral, ....

I think you are entitled to your opinion, but like you not understanding why people think it is ok, many people do not understand why you think it is wrong when for decades people have been wearing the same clothing in public at pools, spas, public beaches, hotels, lakes rivers and so on and no public decency issues have been raised.

From Wikipedia " The groundwork for the modern bikini began to be laid in 1907.....In 1913, inspired by the introduction of women into Olympic swimming, designer Carl Jantzen made the first functional two-piece swimwear, a close-fitting one-piece with shorts on the bottom and short sleeves on top....Finally, the modern bikini was introduced by French engineer Louis Réard and fashion designer Jacques Heim in Paris in 1946. Réard was a car engineer but by 1946.....Heim was working on a new kind of beach costume. It comprised two pieces, the bottom large enough to cover its wearer's navel. In May 1946, he advertised the bathing suit...In 1994, the bikini became the official uniform of women's Olympic beach volleyball.

What do you think would be appropriate attire for pictures on this site?

The kids are going to see it, it is everywhere, but in the setting of fishing and boating it is appropriate attire, accepted since the 1940's.I would rather my young daughter see a women in a bikini enjoying the outdoors, than someone with their bra hanging out at walmart. My 5 year old knows the diffrence because she has commented on people at stores, "they need to put some clothes on".
You say "the kids" in your comments, but who are we really talking about being offended and why?

While it's obvious I'm fighting a loosing battle, but I'm honestly curious about why you think this ok.Could you explain this to someone who "crawled out a hole"?I know it's everywhere, but that doesn't make it right or moral.Kid's walk around with their pants on their knees, are you saying that's ok,too?(And resorting to slamming and name calling is kinda immature, don't you think?)

the best way to see these photos is at:
    http://www.saltwatersportsman.com/
they are set up with thumbnails, by month and much easier to view than on this site.
    as for them being perverted??
have you seen a Victoria"s Secret catalog recently? or for that matter walked down the halls of high school? lot more skin being flashed in the mall than in these photos.

Well Onalaskan, Don't think you're too great. You need to crawl out of your cave from time to time. there are even guys wearing shorts and muscle shirts out here now! that would be considered half-naked also wouldn't it. Anyway I don't see a thing wrong with it and nobody else does either. Good Luck.

The Title of the web page is "Outdoor Life" ,the photos in question I believe are reader submitted photos for women fishing in the “outdoors” (showing that women also enjoy the sport) unfortunately for some a lot of the women fishing in 80 to 100 degree weather choose to wear bikini’s, some more concealing than others. There are also pictures of women in full camo. One could complain that there are to many graphic images of dead animals, or that they are offended by pictures of weapons, or that camo clothing makes them ill, or that they hate advertisements, and the list goes on. We are all responsible for our own actions and thoughts and if you can only think explicit thoughts when you see skin that is something they offer counseling for .There are other sites.

I guess I don't see any real issue at all either. We're not talking about soft core pornography here. It's a woman in a bikini holding up a fish. If for some odd reason you feel that's too provocative or risque, I'm guessing just about everything offends you in everyday life. And there's little to nothing that OL can do about that. =)

Sorry, but I don't see the problem. I've always thought fish and cheesecake made a great combination.

We're not talking about Wal-Mart.It's not the point on whether they see it all the time, but whether they should see it at all. It's wrong either way you look at it.What's worse is that people are used to it.And "at least they have bikini's on" doesn't cut it.Don't you think I should get to look at all the pics of REAL trophies too without fakes?!
