I have a bunch of past magazines that i would like to send over to our troops that are in afganistan. what would ineed to do to send them. I do have anair force base that is close to me. could i just take them to the base and drop them off there?

    Roughit,

Great idea. If you don't have access to the base, you could stop at Pass & ID. The folks there should put you in touch with someone who would be glad to help you out. Short of that, ask around town and locate a retiree. They should also help you out. If you were here in So MD I'd do the same for you.

Good luck and thanks for considering the troops. I'm retired USMC and have a son & daughter in law serving in the USAF.

    Semper Fi,
    Dave

Sir- I commend you for your gracious thoughts and if you are not located near a base- National Guard Armories are a good alternative- few states don't have some sort of unit deployed to the SWA theater- USOs found almost anywhere can also use the donations and can get them shipped. Failing any of those VA Hospital and clinics serve hundreds of wounded warriors who need something to take their mind off things.
