Advice, if you win the lottery, take the ticket and get the money. If i see a really nice buck ill take him. it might be the only deer i see too. but if i had a choice, i would take the nice buck because i dont see them enough to pass on them.

I consider myself primarily a meat hunter when I hunt here in Iowa, but I wouldn't pass up a big buck.

I'm a meat hunter, but chile, stew, and burger is good. I would drop him. Not so tender deer meat is still better than the junk at the grocery store.

I have said this before, and been called a liar, but I honestly would rather have the doe. Dont get me wrong a big buck would be hard to turn down, but as I have gotten older it just does not mean as much to me. I would just as soon have the tender meat.

My family hunts for meat mainly, but given the choice, any one of us would take the buck, mount the antlers and use the realy tough meat for stew and steak.

I'll have to leave this question to someone more qualified since I expect I'd choose to make some more hamburger and hang the antlers up somewhere. I like to meat hunt, but I like trophies, too, and there are ways to tenderize that tough old buck.
