I juat got 40 acres for hunting it is 15 acres of hay fields with clover, alfalfa orchard grass and some rye grass. That gets cut off twice a year. The rest is mixed oak poplar and a lot of brush and about 4 acres of grass willow swamp in the middle. What can I do to get more deer and turkys to stay around. Thanks Jeff

Leave or make a 5 or more acre sanctuary. I live cut pest trees about 2-3 feet off the ground. By live cut I mean cutting just enough of the tree that it will fall or can be pushed over. This alows the tree to live, give an extended amount of browse and creates better and secure bedding areas.
