The other day I received my 3 blinds in the mail that I ordered from an on-line site. They wrap around my ladder stands. As I took them out of the package I couldn't believe how strong of a smell they had from whatever material they were made with. I put them outside over night and they still smelled strongly the next day. Well I put them in the woods yesterday (8 days before season starts) Do you guys think this is enough time for the deer to get used to the smell and not associate it with danger or would you have thrown them in the closet for another year and not put them on your favorite hunting stands/locations so soon to the start of the season and risked the deer seeing the outline of you in the tree and/or movement? So put yourself in my shoes. What would you have done?

I just bought a new pair of rubber boots and treated the new boot smell with a good stomp in a few cow patties, followed with scraping the manure up and down the sides with the bottoms of the boots. Cow manure makes great cover scent!
