I'm with Charlie, Thermacell works the best in most conditions. For these nasty South Florida skeeters, I usually carry a thermacell & leave no exposed skin--mesh face mask & all. When the situation gets desperate, I go to the Deet--like next week when archery starts in the Big Cypress, I may have to resort to the Deet big guns. The temps will probably be around 75 at dawn & 95 at noon--no heavy bug suit for this weather & the bloodsuckers will bite right through a light camo shirt. A caution about Deet--some guys say the smell doesn't spook the deer but I don't buy that--but if you're goint to hunt the wind anyway, it beats letting those little vampires drain all your blood.
