Screwed up my rotator cup. I'm going to have to buy a cross bow. What's the best hunting crossbow for the money. I going to put off surgery until late Jan, 2011.

I have a Horton. I won't go as far as saying it's the "best" for the money, but the price was reasonable and I have no complaints.

I have had two Hortons but I think the new Wicked Ridge is what I would go for next.

I have a Horton and now an Excalibur. The safety on the Horton is LOUD, and being a compound bow it needs a press to restring. The Excalibur is a recurve, the safety is very quiet, and I can change a string in 2 minutes tops with their changing string tool. The Excalibur can be easily separated (remove 2 bolts)into a strung limb section and a stock-rail section (scope attached) and it makes for easy transport in a double gun case. No BIG T-shape crossbow case.
