Last Fall I purchased the rage 3 blade broadheads. Unfortunately I didnt get to use them on any deer to see how they work. I have heard mixed reviews but really want to know what is the better broadhead. Muzzy or Rage? Some people I know live by muzzy an

There are a lot of folks whom swear by Rage. I tested them a couple years ago on deer and turkey and was very unsatisfied with their performance.

      Muzzy makes a solid product.

Muzzy and Thunderheads are time proven. Sure, Rage works great but would you want a maybe when shooting at a record class animal? G5 Montecs and Thunderheads for me.

I like the Muzzy 100Gr. MX-3's they fly true especially with the right arrow.
I use Easton St. Epics and that combo works for me.

Rage usually have better killzones but lack the penetration. While it is not unusual for a Muzzy to have a passthrough. Idk I live by Magnus!

It seems like everyone likes one or the other so I would say that either would get the job done. I personaly use the Muzzy but wouldnt be too hesitant to try the Rage.

Any well placed broad head will do the trick and I personally killed a nice big bodied 9 pointer from about 30 yards complete pass through and in the dirt! Now, why use a mechanical? they shoot exactly like field points where as OFTEN (not always) to shoot fixed broad heads acccurately your ow must will need to be " broadhead tuned". I can shoot very accurately out to 40 yards through practice and I want to practie with field points and feel confident in my shot in the field. Others feel otherwise. I am satisfied with my results three weeks ago.
