I'm looking to begin archery hunting and although crossbows are legal in my state, I would prefer to use a compound. The only issue is that I hurt my shoulder playing football in high school, and foolishly never got it fixed. I have tried draw weights from 35 to 60 pounds and all of them hurt equally. Is there anything I can do short of the obvious answer of going to the doctor, or should I simply go with a crossbow?
