what is the best calls to use when turkey hunting

  • #2
That's a very bold question. I'd try to explain but i wouldn't be able to fit it on this screen so just read as many books as possible and watch as many videos as possible and listen to those guys at the bar that always talk about hunting or workers at outdoor stores. I've read 17 turkey hunting books in the last month and a half and they've really helped me. Good Luck this season,

the best calls to use while turkey hunting are what ever calls you can sound the most like a turkey the easiest with. i do really well with diaphragm but have a couple friends that cant even hold one in their mouth with out choking. try out several styles of calls and you will quickly figure out which one is easiest for you to run. then practice, practice, practice and remember when it comes to talking turkey the tone of the call is not nearly as important as the cadence. as mentioned above watch every show and video you can and learn how to match the cadence of the pro's you are watching. good luck
