I have used mock scrapes and I never see a sign of bucks at them. Is it just the bucks in my area or are mock scrapes just a waste of time?

Mock scrapes do sometimes work, but are not always the best bet. If you want to squeeze out some results, put down some buck tarsal gland scent on the scrape and maybe some doe urine in with it. Big bucks are very aggressive towards opposition, especially when there is a doe involved.

Adding to avoidthewife21, along with peeing on you scrape pee on the bucks scrape too. When you see that the buck is covering your scrap and re-making his, RATTLE! Works every time.
