Will a late born fawn come into estrus late January the following year, this creating a third rut? I'm watching bucks chase smaller doe at this time and can only surmise these doe are less than full year old.

Uhhmmm....? I'm no wildlife biologist, but what you're saying makes sense.
But by the same token, if late bred does have late fawns that mature later, we would eventually have a year 'round rut.
    Again I'm no bi-golly-gist. I don't know.

Ha! I never would have thought that, your statement makes sense to me. Maybe that's all their doing is just chasing.
