He’s been grinning like the cat that ate the canary. I think this whitetail means more to him than the mule deer at this point. He sat on stand for hundreds of hours over the previous four seasons and practiced shooting his bow hundreds more waiting for a chance at any legal deer. Icing on the cake was one of the biggest deer we’ve had hanging around gave him the perfect opportunity his first time out solo.

I told him if he kills the big ten this year he’s paying the taxidermy bill. God forbid a 400# bear makes a mistake.

It's a beautiful mount all right. Still partial to that fabulous mulie myself, probably because of the rarity factor. Have a feeling the whitetail will gain some brethren. An antelope would make another fine addition, at least till there is room for a bull elk. Might have to think rug for a bear. I hear Africa is getting more affordable? Covid won't last forever, I hope.

The "Kid" is gonna fill up the house with his trophies and there won't be any room for yours...IF you ever kill one! LOL!

                  VERY nice buck!
                  VERY nice mount!

I'd be grinning like a jackass eating cactus too! LOL!
