I hear talk of Strut Zones. How big of an area are they? Can anyone elaborate on Strut Zones?

I've seen them strut, with hens in attendance, in zones as long as 30 yards and as small as 20 feet. It looks as if they have a fence at each end, because they always turned around at the same place each time. I find them productive to hunt. It's a place the bird is almost certain to turn up eventually, usually pretty early.
