I need help! I have a 20 guage with steel loads that worked for a turkey last year, but i need suggestions on how i should hunt a big gobbler. I have three mouth calls from Knight and Hale, a short spur, a short beard and a long beard. I know of some good farm country but no permission to hunt it i also cant afford decoys, What can I do?

You can get a decoy at walmart for less than $20 and you never hunt property without permission from the farmer. You may have to do some work for him or help him bale hay or something else. It may not happen this spring but let him know you are trustworthy and won't bring in other hunters with you, trash up his property, leave gates open etc... be friendly and considerate of his time. In time you will find a farmer who is willing to let someone else hunt on his property.

You may want to consider widing your range of calls.I personally use all three pot,box and mouth. You'll find that Ole Toms are stubborn, sometimes you'll have to change calls or even the cadence in calling from long to short. But most of all which ever call you use practice, practice and practice then patience, patience and patience.
