If I get busted I'll usually try a couple days later, from a different position with a different setup. I'll even refrain from using the same calls as the first day. It's worked more times than not.

Setting on the edge of a field is tough, you have to remain extremely still.
-I did learn one tip from a friend though since he has a really bad back so it is hard for him to sit still. He would lay out a thin camo sheet(I think he used a realtree camo pattern), and attach a thin walking stick to each end(would cut it to length/height he wanted - his was probably 3x4 feet) and then roll it up like a scroll and tie up the top and bottom to keep it together. Then once he got to his spot he would just unroll it and stick each walking stick into the ground infront of him to make a wall.

This is to JM. I like setting up on the edge of fields, or open farm areas.

I've read that turkeys don't necessarily remember stuff like that, but it has been my experience that turkeys are highly educable and have memories that will put an elephant in the shade. Do a change-up.

Kind of depends on the turkey, sometimes I'll come back to the same spot, using the same tactics, and call in the bird the very next day after spooking him. But sometimes you spook a gobbler once, and that's it, he won't respond to anything in that area for quite a while.
So to be on the safe side, I would change your decoy setup at least, and probably calling position as well. I wouldn't worry too much about changing calls.

If you know that the turkey saw you then you are most likely out of luck. After being spooked he may stop making noise/responding to calls for the remainder of the day. The only chance you will have is to get up and move your setup(preferably get between him and his roosing spot to catch him on the way back).
-I am just curious. What type of areas do you like setting up in. I could try and give you tips on not getting spotted.

If a turkey is called in and sees you or knows something is wrong, should I change my decoy set-up, position, and calls that I used if I want to come back again?
