How do I do a gobbler yelp on my slate call?

The gobbler yelp is slower and lower than a hen yelp. Find a spot on your slate that gives the lowest tone and slow your rhythm down a little.

Piney is right, but I would add that not all slate calls can make a good gobbler yelp, if it's a higher-pitched one to start out with, then a new call might be necessary. Some will have a lower-pitched spot that will work though.
