I am relatively new to goose hunting and am looking at increasing my canada goose decoy spread. Currently I own 1doz half-shells and 2doz silhouettes. Do you guys think it is better to get 1doz more shells or a half dozen full body decoys. My main hold up is the price of the full body decoys as they are quite steep. I wasn't sure if you guys think its better to have a larger spread or one that might be a little more realistic looking. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you've got enough silos, you could go with more shells and be fine, you'd also end up with more decoys that way. Full bodies do make a convincing spread, but the price makes it cost prohibitive. We've done all right with about 12 silos, 6 shells and 6 full bodies, and a few floaters. If I were you I'd probably wait till end of season when you can save about 20 bucks or more on some full bodies.
