    so turkey season has started here in washington and its been really cold...there hasnr been much action for anybody i know....could it be cause of the cold ? do they only kick in to mateing when it gets warm?

    I know in Wi the warmer the better(40-60 deg). This year we have had a real late spring, and the birds were not moving all that much. A couple of warm days in a row really kicked them into gear in a hurry.
