During the Youth Spring Turkey Season, my dad and I ride mountain bikes into a canyon that hardly ever gets pushed by other hunters. Any ideas on how to hunt it?

I've never hunted canyon country, but I do know that bicycles are an excellent mode of transportation for turkey hunting because they are so quiet. I guess you'd hunt the turkeys the way you do anywhere else---listen for gobbles and try to set up and call him in. Best of luck on your hunt.

When you are moving.....from one point to another ....consider wearing an orange vest for safety ....there might just other hunters around and you can pack it up or reverse it to camo when you set up to hunt

Find out where they roost and try to guess where they are going to land when they come down. A hint is that the general rule of thumb is it is easier to call a turkey uphill than it is to call one down hill.
Shooting a bird in roost is Legal here in PA but i find it unethical and immoral. I am not telling you what to do but i would say dont shoot it in a tree, that is shooting not hunting.

hahaha its funny that you do that cause i downhill bike the property i hunt....but the best advice i can say is go for an evening ride and call alittle and see if u can locate them...once you do this do it alot..so you can keep track of them and then the night befor open moring roost them your self by useing a coytoye call or somthing and then set up there in the moring.
