Ok that one needs a good answer and the best I can come up with is to read my article "science of the turkey gun" at www.foremosthunting.com it gives you honest results not an advertisement.

I thought Black Cloud ammo referred to shotgun shells. I have been using the stuff and am not convinced it fairs any better in steel shot than the high speed regular steel I have been using. I believe that the answer to effective killing power at decent ranges with steel shot requires velocities of 1500 fps or better. When these velocities combined with heavier shot sizes combine you have a shot string capable of doing some damage at 50 yards. Lesser velocities and smaller pellet sizes... you may as well be throwing rocks!! Unfortunately, the high speed heavy loads are pretty painful when it comes to recoil. If you want to put down geese as in the days of lead be prepared to pay the price!

It all depends on what your using the amo for. I shoot compitition every week for .22 caliber. I've switched to ELLY because of the accuracy it has. In you case you might not have to shoot the size of a dime 10 times in a row.
