So I was at my friends camp hunting turkeys with him. I didn't have a gun becasue I already shot my spring tom but he didnt. I called in a hen that popped out about 10 feet from me and i stayed steady as a rock and she stopped and looked right at me but didnt seem to notice me. She continued on her way towards me and my friends two hen decoys and then all of a sudden she started to run away and give the alarm putt. I tried to stop her with some purrs but she took off flying. Why did she act this way even though she didnt see me?

It saw you or your friend and you just didn't realize it.
Many times decoys spook turkeys when the turkey confirms they are not real turkeys.
It heard another turkey and headed out for a better offer.

It most likely seen one or both of you or she knew something wasnt right in the set up. They may be dumber birds but they still have many natural insticts for survival
