ok help me out if u can. ive been turkey hunting this same tom for three years now and every time i dont seem to have any luck. first time i was just young and didnt no what to do, second time we set up wrong and didnt get a shot, and the third i snuck up on him on accident in late morning and shot and missed by a hair. so what do u think the odds are of me getting him this year? oh and p.s. im hunting with a bow if that matters. thanks for the help.

Wise Men say that the Eagle to represent the Great and Powerful United States should have been the TURKEY! Stupid it may look, this tom you seek is smart! He has patterned you and learned safe routes to take. Now you must be more clever to get this smart bird you educated! Ambush is the only option or perhaps master your calling. Good luck

turkeys are easily spooked but not long on memory. get yourself a decent ground blind and set up where he likes to strut, preferably with a strutting jake decoy 10 yards away. i walked up on a gobbler late morning 2 years ago and spooked him 100 yards from his roost tree then went back to that same wood lot the next morning and killed him as soon as he landed. good luck
