For turkey do you have to worry as much about scent control as you do with deer and other animals

yes scent control is important in turkey hunting for one important reason. while it is true that a turkey cant smell you deer still can and if you have a deer wander near your set up and start blowing and snorting you can bet that turkey will take the hint from the deer. trust me i have had this happen to me when i did not wear my scent-lok in the spring. good luck

Turkeys don't have good smell. Old hunters say that if a turkey could smell like a whitetail, noone would ever see them.

That's one of the great things about hunting turkeys is that you don't have to worry about scent. If they could scent as well as they can see and hear, nobody would ever kill one.

No. Scent isn't an issue with turkeys, but their hearing is excellent and their eyes are even better.
