where i waterfowl junt in sprague washington in the early and mid season we hunt the river a fields but during the late season we jump shoot is this a a good method or would i be better off with what i do in the early season.

Hey Duck101,
If you have access to fields and such, continue to scout them and see if the birds are coming in. The more you can find the "X" of where birds are going, the better off and easier it is. If they're still frequenting fields, then by all means, hunt 'em up! If you're not seeing them you can try just setting up and hoping to lure in passing birds during their field-to-water flights. Otherwise, jump-shoot away! I grew up in the Columbia Basin and went to college and lived in Spokane (here right now actually!), so I know your area! Have fun!
