For coyote hunting, is a slug or tight birdshot best for when they come in close? What Guage do you prefer?

    I'd probably go with a 12 gauge shot shell loaded with T's or F's. The shot size would still be big enough to give the energy you'll need and a decent pellet count for the likely running shot. I'm figuring "In close" is within 40 yards.
