Are you wanting to buy traps or sell them =].

I am looking to expand my arsenal JM. Buddy of mine said his dad is thinking about downsizing so i want to know how much to offer if he decides to sell.

Well....personally I would open at 50% of what they would cost new, but be willing to negiotiate. But also depends on what your friends dad is like - If he wants one offer and one offer only I would have to see the traps myself to think of a price.

Well, it makes a big difference if you know the person who's selling them. If I was buying them from a total stranger, I wouldn't pay much more than 50% of retail, since you don't have anything beyond a stranger's word as to how old they are and how they've been treated.
If I was buying them from someone I knew and trusted however, I would pay anything up to full retail price for them, since used traps are not necessarily any lower quality value than new ones, depending on how they've been used.

            I seldom trek very far,
when all around bear traps are.

            Hi...

Also need to know the brand names, sizes and types of traps being sold.

I might go to as much as 75% of new cost if: I actually wanted them, if they were as strong as new ones, and if the seller paid the shipping.

Would also have to see the traps, or at least a photo of them.
